I Support: End Hunger, Walk The World

I was browsing my old photo albums in my account in webshots.com when I saw this old picture of me and my officemates taken last 2009. This picture was taken when we participated in the End Hunger, Walk The World campaign by World Food Program. The pictures reminded me that once in my life I participated in a worldwide event that helped a lot of people specially children who doesn't have the opportunity or was deprived of their rights to eat and given sufficient food.

I was watching TV last night when Star Patrol, a segment from TV Patrol News Program of ABS-CBN, featured KC Concepcion just came back from her world trip. She is the National Ambassador for Against Hunger under UN World Food Program. My interest in participating and joining events likes this moved up to the next level. For this year, I do my best to participate more in any events that will help other people. Its' not only this particular campaign but also the ones like helping Save Mother Earth, Takbo Para sa Kalaikasan, Fun Run and some others. Anything that will promote our environment, good health, helping people etc., I will do my best to be on the list.

This is actually an annual event to raise money and awareness of World Food Program's effort to fight child malnutrition and hunger. This is a joint effort and its corporate partners, led by TNT, Unilever and DSM. Employees from this company walk with WFP Ambassadors, staff and beneficiaries as well as government and NGO partners to show solidarity in the fight against hunger and malnutrition.

The succeeding pictures below shows me and my friends participated in the even last 2009,. We are not the one being feed by this event. We just look hungry but were healthy.  Lol. My previous employer participated in this event so we got the chance to join and unite with the world.
Strike a pose before the event starts
Its End the world for them! haha

Pose again..while walking..

The crowd
To know more about their past activities and upcoming events, you can check this website: http://www.wfp.org

This particular post is my way of showing support and encouragement to everyone who wants to help. I am not connected with WFP in anyway. This is just my way of saying that I support them and I believe in their advocacy in helping children around the globe. After all, "I believe the children are our future".

If I Could Just Live My Life Over

I would have spend more time with my family than spending time with myself and with people I just met.

I would have dance in the rain than just watching it.

I would have talked less and listen more.

I would have spend more time at church than going to bars, malls, restaurants which makes me grow physically than making my soul grow in faith.

I would have given more time to those people close to my heart than gave more time at work.

I would have invited friends to go out with me sometimes than pretending that I can be alone and be happy, alone.

Instead of crying over something that's lost, I would have enjoyed and praised for it not because I'm hurting but because there is something better for me ahead.

There would be more "i love you's"  and "I'm sorry's" than "i hate you's".

Instead of cursing, there would be more praising and rejoicing.
There would be more appreciation of small little things in life than murmuring.

I would have taken the time to listen to my mother's ramble about how she is during her youth.

I would have given my extra money to those in need than to spend it in spa's, parlor's and saloon's to just to make myself look good outside. Instead making myself feel good and look good inside.

I would have sang with my friends than cried out.

I would have never bought anything because of I just like it.

I would have more water intake than softdrinks.

Will not worry about who doesn't like me.

Will not get jealous because they have good stuff/material things.

I would have gone to bed to take a rest than pretending and let the world see that I am strong and can stand for hours/days.

I would have dive and swim the deepest see than just watching it from the seashore.

Well, If I could live my life over, I would surely make a good shot. But we don't have a Live Menu where we can press any button that we like. There is no rewind button in life. We can't just press it every time we want to change it. What happened in the past is already part of our history. It's over.

I didn't regret anything about my past. I became a better person because of what happened behind. Maybe the best thing to do is to move on and do much more better than what we did before. In life we only have one shot. So we should take every chances that we have and then have fun with it because we can never get back what we left behind. Give your best shot today buddy and don't let it pass you!

A blessed day everyone!

Moving On. Moving Out. Moving In.

from here
Sometimes moving on to something that we've been through is hard specially if the impact is too big to handle. Its hard when you deal with your emotions and then at the moment your in the middle of it you don't know what to do until such time you'll just do stupid things and then later on you'll just realized that you've made the biggest mistake in your life.

"When was the last time I've made the greatest move in my life?".

I was wondering...

Maybe it's when I moved out from Davao for Makati because of a job offer that I cannot just say "NO". It's also the time that I transferred to a new company after 5 years of wonderful experience in my previous company.

Moving On is not that easy. It,s like moving out away from your comfort zone. Its like moving out from the four corners of your wall and you don't know what lies ahead outside of that walls. It's like getting away from your usual or daily routine and try another ways and means to survive. It's like stop eating your favorite food and then you just want to go on a diet. It's like deactivating your facebook or twitter account and just start a life away from internet.

Moving on means adjustment and facing your greatest challenge. It means accepting new things in life and trying to be a better person in the future.

But before we can completely moved on.. we should first move out some things.

To completely moved on, we should moved out some things. We should remove negative thoughts and negative vibes. If you are hurt, eliminate those people who caused you pain. Remove things that will remind you of those painful experience. Take it away from your system and your blood. Its a matter of how willing you are to take it out for you to completely moved on.

Allow other people to come into your life. Try now experience. Explore. Go out with friends. Love your family more. Love yourself more than anything. It's having the right perspective in life. If your aiming to a big change you should be ready and accept anything that comes along your way whether its good or bad.

Paghihintay at Pagkakataon

Ilang taon akong naghanap. Ilang taon akong naglakbay. May dumating na pagkakataon. Inakala na ito na nga iyon. Ngunit ang pagkakataon ay nawala. Bumitiw. Iniwan.

Isang pagsubok ng aking pagkatao. Isang mulinga paglalakbay.

Nakadama ka man ng pagod sa paglalakbay. Sa paghahanap. Pwede namin naisin na TUMIGIL. HUMINTO at magpahinga.

The Law Of The Seed

We all know that most seed never grow. For one apple tree to bear 500 apples, you need 10 seeds.

I was so inspired by the principle of the seed. Some seeds never really grow. Some beautiful seeds die too. In life it also means that we cannot do it in one shot. Say for example, in finding a job, you need to attend 20 interviews to get the position or job you really want. It means not giving up if you did not pass the first interview. It means to try and try until you get the right position for you.

It's also applicable in terms of finding the right person. You need to meet 1000 acquaintances to meet the perfect partner. It doesn't mean that because you are brokenhearted today you will stop loving, you will stop that feeling of being love and then hate love forever.

It's also the same with what's happening in a call center. As an agent, you need to get 100 calls to get sell the product you are offering to your customers. Unless you are lucky enough to get a good sale in one shot.
Well, my point is... We will never be happy if we will stop from where we are now. Keep trying and keep your faith. After all, we are just like the seed. We need to strive hard to grow. We need to keep our head high to survive. We need to keep growing and learning from our mistakes. And that will nurture as to become a better person.

Questions You Should Ask To Find A Lifetime Partner

I've been dreaming that one day I'll settle down with the person I will consider as my lifetime partner. I was praying that someday, the right person will come. I've been searching for that right person but failure keeps hunting me. There are those who come along my way whom I thought are the right one but then in the end its not the one for me. I thought looking for that someone is the answer. I thought that waiting is the best way to find that lifetime partner but then again, I'm wrong. I should start by looking on the other side, by asking questions that give clear answers.

I began searching for answers about, Why love has to end? How to find a perfect partner? How will I know that this is the right person for me... and the question goes on and on...

Well, I was shuttered by the truth that I was asking the wrong questions. Maybe I should start asking this 4 questions for me to find a Lifetime partner. Maybe, you too, would like to ask this to yourselves. This questions might help you evaluate the prospect of long term succcess. We all know that when looking for a lifetime partner of the right person we dont want to make a mistake. We always make sure that the person that we have right now is the right and perfect for us. I've seen a lot of people in different walks of life wounded and broken because of a failed relationship, including me. It seems that many are making a serious mistake in their approach in finding Mr/Ms Right!

If you try to ask a couple together and what made them decide to get married or lived together, they will surely answer: "We're in love!". I think is the #1 biggest mistake people make in terms of finding the right one.

As what Rabbi Dov Heller said: "Choosing a life partner should never be based on love (alone)."

I think what he meant by that is, We can't build a lifetime relationship on love alone, we need a lot more. We need something more than love. When other ingredients are right, then love will come.

Now, lets move on to the question.. (pinapatagal pa eh noh!).
The questions below is also based on Rabbi Dov Heller's book, which I think worth sharing.

Do we share a common life purpose?

Importante ba ito?

Let's just say, I am married for more than 25 years which is very long to live with someone. What are the things that you need to do together? Imagine 25 years of being together? (Yung 5 or 6 years nga nagkakasawaan pa, eh ang 25 years pa kaya?). Anyways, you can go and travel together, go out together, eat out and have fun together. In a relationship there are two things that can happen: You can grow together, or grow apart. To find a lifetime partner, YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT OUT OF LIFE- bottom line- AND MARRY SOMEONE WHO WANTS THE SAME THING.

When I express my feelings and thought with this person, do I feel safe?

Feeling safe means you can openly communicate and talk with this person. The basis of it -- TRUST!

Trust that you wont be scared or afraid to get hurt when you express your feelings. Its trust when you can freely share your ideas and thought and not afraid that you will be punished ot tortured because if how you feel. In finding a life partner we should make sure that we are emotionally safe with this person.

Is he/she a refined and sensitive person??

To find this out is to ask another question: Is this person always striving to be good? Do they work on their personal growth? Is this person materialistic?

Those who are materialistic are the one whose top priority is not character refinement. These people are those who are dedicated in seeking comfort rather than personal growth. These people are those whose goal in life is to be comfortable in everything rather than doing the right thing.

Is there anything that I need to change about this person after we're married?

Most of us commit mistake in trying to "improve" or "change" the person. If we cannot fully accept this person for who they are then don't allow yourself to tie the knot or be together with this person.

Loving doesn't have to be difficult and trecherous. Love should be patience and kind, not jealous and free of pride.

Lastly, falling in love is a great feeling, but when you wake up in the morning with a ring on your finger, or a you think Mr/Ms Right is beside you, you dont want to see yourself in trouble or get hurt and wounde because you didn't do your homework. It's better to be sure that we choose the right person rather than seeing ourselves broken into pieces that can never be whole again.

The Juice That's Made From Real Juicy Pulp

Courtesy of Nuffnang
I just drank a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy. They say it’s got ‘no preservatives added’. Aw, c’mon…It’s bottled juice. Is that even possible? So I thought maybe... they're correct. The moment I tasted it, i can even feel the juicy pulp crushed inside my mouth. Really true! Amazing! I cant believe it that there is a juice like Minute Maid. Try it!

I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it’s got no preservatives added. So I read the ingredients (even the fine print) and everything checked out! It really has NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED! That means it doesn’t have ingredients that may turn out to be allergens, or worse...carcinogens! Whew! Now that’s healthy goodness that tastes so good, I... really cant imaging that a juice like this exist. All drink contained in a bottle have preservatives added into it. But when you try and tasted Minute Maid, its just really unbelievable that the taste really is like real orange juice. A real heaven sent.
So okay, it’s got no preservatives added. That’s really good, right? Not just because it doesn’t have those icky, harmful ingredients, but it also means... its free from any ingredients that might cause us internal problems in the future. Plus, since its made from real juice pulp, as we all know that orange is rich in Beta Carotene, which is powerful antioxidant guarding the health of our cells. Lastly, our brain needs folic acid for proper development which is found in Oranges.

So far anyone who still has a hard time believing that Minute Maid has got no preservatives added - meaning it's THAT natural, it's almost like it's plucked straight from the tree, it's just as Mother Nature wanted your orange juice to be, it's got nothing but the good stuff yes, none of those potentially toxic stuff that can harm your brain, kidneys, heart; cause tumors aargh- the list of preservatives' bad effects just go on!!! Anyway, just to prove a point on just how good Minute Maid Pulpy is 'cause it's got NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED, I'm gonna Tell it to the world that Minute Maid is the best product we have in the market. I'm gonna shout it loud and share it with my friends, loved ones and families to try Minute Maid and see it for themselves. I will also include this wonder juice in my daily healthy drinks. Thanks Minute Maid.

Stress-Free Life

Makati City, Philippines -- As I looked back on the journey I had last 2010; it always put a smile on my face. The first quarter of 2010 sailed smoothly not until last October 2010 when I've decided to trransfer to a new company. I am working in a BPO as an HRIS Sr. Specialist by the way. My work usually does reporting. Basically we send out and generate reports for different department in the company whether its for local or overseas. A lot of my friends asked me why the last quarter of the year? Well, God showed me the way for that. It's a decision that didn't go overnight. It's God's will should I say.

Anyways, when I started in the new company, I already expected that a huge stress will come along the way (parang Plants vs. Zombies lang! A huge wave of zombies is approaching). As I've expected it, it arrived. On my first month at work, my team mate (we're only two in the team, aside from our Sr. Manager who is our Superior) need to take her Maternity leave since she is due that month. It means that, I will take over and will handle 12 sites across the Philippines with employees reaching to 25,000 and counting. Imagine the stress and pressure that you carry with that big headcount. I am not complaining about it since I am a player in terms of doing the job I like. But sometime, when stress is too much, you would want to just give up and take a rest instead.

I strongly believed that stress is a contributing factor for a successful job if you know how to handle it properly. With stress it will bring out the best in you but you should know how to identify good stress from bad stress. Good stress will motivate you to work hard. So what will you do when bad stress strikes?

My teacher in college explained about stress management in class, raised a glass of water and asked,

"How heavy is this glass of water?"

Answered called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

My teacher said, the absolute weight doesn't matter, it actually depends on how long you try to hold it.

"If I hold it for a minute, thats not a problem."

"If I will hold it for an hour, I will have ache in my arm."

If I hold it for a day, please call 911."

In each case, the weight is actually just the same. But the longer you hold it, the heavier it becomes.

Just the same with stress; the longer we hold it the heavier the burden until it reach to our boiling point that we can no longer carry it and then we exlode. Just like the glass of water, sometimes we need to hold it down and take a rest for a while. When we have enough energy and when were refreshed we hold it up again, then raise it with pride.

With proper handling of stress, we will surely have a stress-free life and we can properly work when our hearts are not heavy. Ive learned how to balance my life in terms of dealing with stress or burden. Here's some of them:

  1. Accept that some days rain pours, but believe that tomorrow comes the sun.
  2. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
  3. Since its the early worm always eaten by the bird, sleep late.
  4. Every time you wake up in the morning or afternoon (in case you woke up late because you sleep late), always say a prayer.
  5. Look in the mirror and check if everything is in order.
  6. A truly happy person is the one who always enjoys life even in the midst or darkness.
  7. Thanks God for every circumstances. It only means greater things is coming.
  8. Always give a smile to anyone in the office.
  9. Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, Because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
  10. We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

Have a stress-free life friend!

Napagkamalan Na Naman

Nung tinignan ko, nabigla ako kasi first time itong nag message sa akin.

Anyways nag message sya at nag great ng "Happy New Year!".

"same to you" ang mabilis kung reply.

Who knows?

Coffee Drinkers At Ang Echusero

Well, most of us loves coffee. Mapa brewed coffee man yan o kapeng may halong ka-echusan. Kapeng barako or yung brown coffee na sikat na ngayon.

Dahil most of us loves coffee nga, ibat-ibang klaseng tao din ang nagkakape dito sa Starbucks.

Well, they can afford to buy coffee in Starbucks, you know! (with accent... slang!). And the size? Venti of course. Drink all you can pa.

Sosyal naman talaga sila, the way they dress and the way they speak.

Sila yung mga taong halatang not so rich and famous pero pinipilit pa rin magkape para feeling "in" sila.

After all, what matters most is what we've done to make us happy and not what we did not do because were too afraid to try something new.

A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent.

You Are Special

I've learned a very valuable lesson. Pwede namang ayusin at magamit muli.
